Amsterdam based Donsje (Dutch for fluffy) make adorable footwear for babies and toddlers, as well as the cutest leather accessories for kids. Founded by Florentine van Oosten Slingeland in 2013.
Each product is handmade from premium leather, beautifully packaged in a bag dangling a tiny bell and produced to fair trade regulations.
Donsje Amsterdam ensures that baby and toddler feet are well-protected and have the space to move freely. Allowing children to develop naturally and safely in preparation for those long-awaited first steps.
These shoes make great gifts too and each pair will become a precious keepsake to treasure forever.

And great to know, Donsje also believes in helping children take their first steps in education.
The Shining Star school in Nairobi, Kenya was founded by Donsje’s designer and owner Florentine van Oosten Slingeland and her husband Skief Houben. In cooperation with a Kenyan teacher, Judy Nzomo. Donsje donates parts of their income and helps to give over 130 kids a better start in life every year.
