Bermbach Handcrafted is a young German manufacturer making beautiful rattan beds for babies and children.
The company was founded after founders Alexander and Marie Luise saw a vintage rattan cot which was not for sale. They tried to find another one but without success. Thus they came up with the idea of producing new ones that would meet all their expectations.
If you have ever been looking for a rattan bed for toddlers, you know how hard these pieces are to find.
Today, the couple works with a renowned Indonesian manufacturer. Three models are currently available – a side bed , a cubicle bed (baby bed) and a larger cot. Certified ecological mattresses made from coconut fiber and wool, organic cotton cot liners and canopies complete the range.

The little rattan baby cot stands on metal feet to give it a vintage, light and elegant look. The tips of the feet are made of oiled oak to ensure a uniform base and not to damage the floor.
Not to mention that the fine weave of the basket offers transparency allowing the little one to look around. The leather straps are laced all around the cradle and small invisible screws under the cradle keep it at its base to ensure perfect stability. This delightful cradle will blend perfectly into any interior.
This side bed makes a beautiful baby nest. Open on one side, it was designed to be put next to the parents’ bed at night while baby is sleeping safely in their cradle. Therefore it is ideal for nursing mothers. And, we love, the metal legs are adjustable (30,40 and 50cm) to adapt perfectly to the height of the parents’ bed.
