Kids room ideas – with fun & colour from Paris
DESIGN, Living
Oh, how we love to get a sneak into other people's houses. See how they live, how they decorate their homes and what books they read. It is interesting and inspiring and can tell a lot about the person.
We also love to change the look and feel of our own homes. Especially when seasons are about to change just like now, when Spring is hopefully about to make an appearance.
And yet the room, or rooms, that probably change and adapt the most over the years are the spaces of our children. They grow so quickly and their interests and needs switch in what feels like nanoseconds. Nursery, toddler, young kids, pre teen universe and the line goes on.
We are always curious about kids room ideas. Clever designs, furniture that grows with our children and can adapt with the change of taste. (or better is so timeless that it stays and the details change around it)
When we came across the site of GCG Architects and their projects we were flabbergasted. This Paris based design studio is incredible on how they transform homes. The use of space (a very important factor in the often small Parisian houses) and light are incredible.
Let’s have a little tour through these fabulous kids rooms all situated in Paris. And that are so different from the monochrome, white and black Scandinavian trend. They are full of life, details, some Vintage bits and foremost: colour.

That is one very pink room! But very cool. The kitchen mosaic is a dream, we all agree. The colour combo in here is interesting too. This is definitely the place of a quirky family.

Nursery in the clouds. Very sophisticated grey cabinets, cute mirrors and designer wallpaper!

Beautiful Haussmann apartment with a new modern feel. The glass walls allow the light to flood through the entire apartment and to win visual space. Very modern kitchen and then a lovely kids room. Surprising black walls, retro prints and a lot of fun toys.

Poetic kids rooms that are so full of love, details and funny ideas. One cannot stop looking at the pictures because you always discover something new. The lampshades, the prints, the lovely rugs or the original ornaments. Beautiful!

Colour block all over, lovely shades of blue and a great ceramic lamp. We love!
We hope you enjoyed this tour to Paris and saw something you liked. We will be back here for more kids room inspiration when the time comes.
