United Arrows

United Arrows started in the early 1990’s as a select shop. According to Wikipedia, the company name is based on the idea of “three arrows” of Mori Motonari.

“The legend of the three arrows” is a story about the sengoku daimyo of the Chugoku region Mori Motonari. Motonari is one of the greatest Japanese warlords of the mid-16th century. In fact: In hope of encouraging three of his sons to work together for the benefit of the Mori clan, Mori handed each of his sons an arrow and asked each of them to snap it.

Furthermore – after each snapped his arrow, Motonari produced a bundle of three arrows and asked his sons to snap all three at once. When they failed, Motonari explained that one arrow could be broken easily, but 3 arrows held together could not.

After all it is not known for certain if this actually happened, but it is a lesson that is still taught today in Japanese schools!

In addition to selling clothing and accessories designed and produced by their own designers, United Arrows also imports and sells overseas clothing and accessories.
